Welcome to Turnford School
Welcome to Turnford’s website, which as you probably guessed is a work in progress. At Turnford we believe the most effective websites are designed in consultation with the people that will be using the site. The images around the site were created with a group of students who attended a day with the designers to share and form ideas for the Turnford site.
We have recently consulted a Parent Focus group to discuss what they would like to find on their web pages. The contact page is based on their request for advice on who they should contact when an issue occurs. This group will meet half-termly to form an effective Virtual Learning Environment and help the school move to online reporting from September 2010. I hope you find the website informative. We are starting small as we are looking to establish what your requirements are as a user and to build a suitable site to meet these needs. This term, after requests from parents, we are aiming to create web pages for each year group to help parents access what learning is taking place for their child in each term.
Now the site is up and running we are keen to make it as responsive as possible so that the information on it is up to date. Each week the website will be added to by Sarah Whall the Reprographics and Communication officer, and Jason Jones who is part of our ICT team.
